• Deliver core app features, including reading practice and scoring feedback.

5. Children's data and parental controls

Where required by law, use of child accounts is based on parent/guardian or school authorization. Parents/guardians may request access, correction, export, or deletion of a child's personal data, subject to applicable law and school agreements.

6. AI/speech-processing commitments

• Audio is processed to provide reading feedback and service functionality.
• Child voice recordings are not used to train foundation models by default.
• Any optional research/model-improvement use requires separate explicit consent and can be revoked.

7. Retention, sharing, and security

We keep data only as long as needed for stated purposes and applicable legal requirements. We use vetted service providers under contractual controls, do not sell personal data, and apply technical and organizational safeguards such as encryption in transit and access controls.
